Although I couldn't vote in the 2014 referendum, I probably would have voted no, because I was worried about Scotland losing its place in Europe and I had been brought up to believe that it was good to be part of the union with the UK.

IN 2014 I FELT WE WERE BETTER OFF AS PART OF THE UK

In 2014 I felt that we were better off as part of the UK, primarily because the economic arguments for independence weren’t hugely convincing, and because I believed we were better off in the UK and in the EU.
