In 1982 we moved from Scotland to live in London and in 2014 we could not vote in the independence referendum. Most of our friends are from down south and we didn't want to be separated from them. But we were ignorant of what was going on.

I am English by birth but have lived in Scotland for 30+ years - well over half my life. I voted No in 2014 broadly because at that time Scotland was part of two wider communities - the UK and the EU and independence felt isolationist from that perspective and Scotland's subsequent indefinite exclusion from the EU seemed a very real probability.

I was an active member of the Labour Party and voted No in 2014. I also did some campaigning during the referendum for Better Together. I was never really against independence, but I just wasn't convinced by the Yes campaign and the currency plan.
