I AM DONE WITH THIS 'UNITED KINGDOM'
I voted No in the 2014 Indyref because David Cameron and his cohorts were threatening us with all sorts, including Scotland losing our membership of the EU if we left the UK.
The UK Government offered further devolution powers if we remained, which was what I had wanted all along (well Devo Max, but this was a start - I thought).
I voted No with a heavy heart and then, within weeks - along with many friends and colleagues, we realised we had been duped.
Look where we are now - about to be dragged kicking and screaming out of the EU, against our will, against our beliefs and our principles.
Throughout the Brexit shambles Scotland has been ignored, side-lined, mocked, derided and I don’t think I’m alone in saying I’m done with this ‘United Kingdom’.
- I am ready for independence.
- I want my voice to be heard, my vote to count.
- And I want a chance to re-join the EU one day
